Monday Fun Day

Happy Monday !!! Welcome to my crazy little world …boy-o-boy do I have a lot to share this week! Thank you for stopping in, I’ve really missed you!

Right in the middle of an ordinary day someone extraordinary walks into your life …. that person that looks passed the perfectly placed smile and the almost flawless makeup and sees right to the heart and soul of what you’re feeling and what you’re going through….that person’s name is friend !!!
Proverbs 17:17 tells us that a friend loves at all time , not just when the sun is shinning ….but a friend loves during the dark times…. and as I sit here with tears and snot running down my face I thank God for those friends that He has blessed me with . Friends that chose friendship because it’s the people that matter.
Last night while we were waiting in line to climb into our bright blue honey pot and ride off into the make-believe world of winnie the pooh I found myself thinking about all the friends who have walked in and out of my life… and for a moment as faces and names paraded through my mind I lifted up a simple prayer … Lord, help me to always keep my heart open and the be the friend that loves at all times … Lord your word says that you have a thought towards us .. and I want my thoughts and your thoughts to line up!
As I sat in the honey pot listening to the comforting tune to Pooh’s theme song it came time for my favorite part of the ride…. it’s when the rain is coming down (its okay it’s make believe and you don’t get wet) and the waters are rising high (don’t worry I’m in a honey pot..so I’m safe) and all of the friends of the hundred acre woods are working together to get safely to dry land …..
And Tigger in his hyper bouncy self is for once focused on the task at hand …using the bounce of his tail and his happy go lucky attitude to keep the parade of friends moving … and eeyore who is usually gloomy and depressed is using his tail and strong donkey body to help pull kanga to safety and Pooh’s beloved honey pot is being used as a makeshift boat … oh I just love that scene, and as we exited the honey pot there was a little old man and woman getting off the ride before us and he looked at his wife and said , that ride always mades me smile … and I had to nod my head and agree … me too!!
One of my most cherished Pooh memories……
Is from the film, “Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin,” Pooh and Christopher Robin, who are the closest of friends, have a moving conversation high in a tree where strength and love flow heart-to-heart as a beautiful words are spoken.
Christopher Robin: “Oh, Pooh. If ever there’s a tomorrow when we’re not together, there’s something you must remember.”
Pooh: “And what might that be, Christopher Robin?”
Christopher Robin: “You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
Pooh: “Oh, that’s easy. We’re braver than a bee, and, uh, longer than a tree, and taller than a goose… or, uh, was that a moose?”
Christopher Robin: “No, silly, old bear! You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is even if we’re apart; I’ll always be with you. I’ll always be with you. I’ll always be with you.”
That’s the kind of friend I want to be … and my challenge to myself is that no matter what … my heart will stay open and I will chose friendship because it’s the people who matter…People matter because Jesus set the example when time and time again He loves us even when we are unlovable … He loved us enough to die for us..and to bare our sin so we didn’t have to.
In the times when we don’t know if we are coming or going … we know Jesus is our friend… He will never leave us, He will never forsake … He chooses people every time … and above all, even when you feel as though the world has walked out … remember this: he will always be with you. He will always be with you. He will always be with you.
Be blessed, be bold, and be you
