It’s Friday ….wow, where has this week gone, I feel like it’s flown by!! We are making our way to NC today to see an old friend and make some new friends! These kind of days are my best kind of days … so fasten your seat belt, grab a cold drink, and welcome to my world!!
The other day I was relaxing out on our patio sipping some sweet tea and reading a book by, Tracie Peterson…it was a good day … a quiet day!!! When all of a sudden the flower delivery guy pulls up to our campsite … I got so excited!! Funny thing is I wasn’t even sure they were mine…it took forever for that guy to get out of the truck… it was the longest 3 mins of my life
! He walked up to our patio and headed me the biggest bouquet of flowers I have ever seen … the card simply read, “Happy Spring”! As I smelled each flower I was overwhelmed by the beauty of their scent!
One of my favorite things in Epcot is each year they have a Flower & Garden Festival …. it’s just like magic, they just appear all of a sudden … BUT what I have noticed is that you can smell them from the entrance gates before you even see them!!!
Last year as I was exploring the festival I learned many interesting things … BUT this nugget is by far my favorite:
There is a Hawaiian saying, “Tiny is the flower, yet it scents the grasses around it.” What a great illustration of how the smallest things can have impactful results. The fact that the flower is small and seemingly insignificant, does not keep it from spreading the fragrance it was created to share. In fact, often the smallest flower can have the most potent fragrance!
I know there are times that we all have felt like a tiny flower. We wonder if we are really capable of doing anything big or important for Christ. Insecurities, feelings of unworthiness or life challenges prevent us from seeing how God can use us to bless Him and impact others. It is not the size of the actions that matter, but the aroma that is created by those actions. Each time we do something in love we offer a fragrant offering to God. And we help others learn how to be a little fragrant flower too, in a big world that can be pretty stinky.
When God created flowers, He intentionally created them to give off a sweet aroma. And He created us just the same.
Still to this day almost a week later when I walk into the RV the beautiful bouquet of flowers is the first smell that greets me ….and I’m instantly taken back to the wonderful feeling I had the day they showed up at my RV completely out of the blue!!! Thank you for sending that beautiful ray of sunshine that has daily added fragrance to this rvgirl’s world!!
Be blessed, be bold , and be you! Leave a scent that will bring God glory !!! Your scent is uniquely you !!!
In celebration on the weekend …let’s find out what our Flower Fairy name would be…haha, I know it sounds silly, but it’s okay to be silly sometimes!!!
